Unique Diamond & Emerald Engagement Ring

The Minerva Ring is a unique diamond & emerald engagement ring from the Art Deco era, circa 1930! The ring centers an EGL certified old European cut diamond that was graded in the setting as 1.40 carats of F-G color, VS1 clarity. The diamond is set in a platinum bezel setting and is surrounded by an intricate setting adorned with an additional 22 old European cut diamonds and 26 calibre cut emeralds. Millegrain detail highlights the stones and hand engravings decorate the shank. The ring is size 6 and can be resized to most sizes.

Why We Love It

This ring is an incredible piece! The craftsmanship is extraordinary and made with high-quality stones! We love the pop of color from the green emeralds paired with the bright white diamonds! While this is a bold ring, nothing about it is overstated. The central diamond is still the main attraction with beautiful, sparkling clarity. The calibre cut emeralds and the millegrain details help to tie everything together. Every stone fits so perfectly in a lovely Art Deco arrangement. The pattern is both floral and geometric, which helps to make the overall shape of the ring so interesting! The Minerva ring is an all-around unique emerald engagement ring with gorgeous diamonds!

Everything About Emeralds!

Well, not everything. But emeralds are fascinating. There’s a reason they’re the stone used in the city of Oz. Long associated with magic and mystery, emeralds are surrounded in interesting folklore. They are typically believed to help discern truth, sharpen intuition, prevent memory loss, and even see into the future! With their verdant color, emeralds are also associated with fertility and rebirth, making them the perfect birthstone for the month of May!

Today, most emeralds are mined from the mountains of Colombia, but they can be found all across the world, typically near large deposits of quartz. A favorite stone of Cleopatra, the earliest emeralds came from Egypt circa 1500 B.C.

The emerald is also the inspiration for the emerald cut. With its rectangular shape and stepped facets, this cut is appropriately bold. And it’s used in a variety of stones, including diamonds. However, interestingly enough, the Minerva ring does not feature an emerald cut. Instead, it features beautiful caliber cut emeralds, making it a truly unique emerald engagement ring!
