WHY WE LOVE IT

The January ring is breathtaking! Beautiful and bright, these vintage Asscher cut diamonds are incredibly elegant with their sharply contrasting patterns. The Asscher cut is often described as a hall of mirrors, and between the three incredible diamonds of the January ring, this look is in full effect producing a unique sense of depth when looking into the stones. The hand engravings along the band are absolutely lovely. The band is chic in its simplicity, letting the diamonds take center stage!

FALL IN LOVE WITH ASSCHER CUT DIAMONDS

The Asscher cut diamond is a beautifully distinct addition to any vintage engagement ring! Developed in 1902 by the Asscher Brothers of Holland—now known as the Royal Asscher Diamond Company—the Asscher cut first gained its popularity in the 1920s and the decades following the Great Depression. At the time of its development, the Asscher Brothers were renowned for cutting the world’s largest rough stone from Cullinan diamond—3.106 carats!

Somewhat similar to the emerald cut, the Asscher cut is more square than rectangular, though its cropped corners occasionally give it an octagonal shape in certain settings. Vintage Asscher cut engagement rings typically feature large step facets, high crowns, and a small table. Together, these features create a distinct appearance with crisp patterns and sparkle unlike any other shape! With three of these amazing diamonds in the January ring, this is a treasure you won’t want to miss!
